Pilates is a great exercise form for Mom’s to be and for new moms.  The emphasis on breathing, range of motion and the gentle strengthening using resistance supports the unique demands of delivery.  I also integrate yoga into pre-natal sessions for strength, balance and release.  

After delivery, I focus on recovering the core musculature and proper mechanics of the upper body, torso and hips as carrying a baby often throws off alignment in the lower back and shoulder girdle for new moms.  I welcome babies to come to sessions with mom.
